Catalyst Students Perform at Inauguration

The Catalyst Circle Rock Children’s Choir joins students who are in Chicago Children’s Choir school program for the May 16th Paint the Town Red celebration. This event will be part of the inauguration of Chicago’s new Mayor-Elect, Rahm Emanuel. Governor Quinn will declare this day as Arts Education Day for the State. Join us for this exciting experience at the Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park. This will be a day that our children will remember for a long time.

Other events happening at Catalyst include:

Catalyst Circle Rock is preparing for a “Catalyst Idol” talent show! Auditions are over and students will get a chance to “strut their stuff” at our show on Thursday, May 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the school gym. Every grade will participate with singing, dancing, magic acts, comedians and gymnastics. Celebrity judges who will have a hard time choosing a winner. The cost is $3.00 and refreshments will be sold.

Circle Rock 5th - 8th grade girls have been invited to participate in our annual “Phenomenal Women” activity. They are asked to choose a person that has influenced their life and write an essay paying tribute to her. Between 10 to 15 students will be chosen to join with the Administration for a “day on the town”. This is the 4th year for this special activity and it is one of the highlights of our school year.
