Catalyst Maria Joins Schools That Can Network!

The nation's largest cross-sector network of urban schools, Schools That Can, accepted Catalyst Maria into their organization this week! Schools That Can connects leaders and shares innovative practices to advance school improvement and expand quality urban education across the nation.  Catalyst Maria will join the Schools That Can Chicago cohort (a network that includes Catalyst Circle Rock!) and will be formally introduced into the network at the STC National Forum in two weeks in Los Angeles! Congratulations to the Catalyst Maria team on this accomplishment!

Catalyst Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week!

This week is national Teacher Appreciation Week! We are so grateful for all Catalyst staff (who are all teachers in some way!) and the impact they make on hundreds of lives every day at Catalyst Howland, Catalyst Circle Rock and Catalyst Maria!

Catalyst Maria Scholars Accepted into Chicago Scholars!

Of the 1,700 students who applied for Chicago Scholars across Chicago (with the mandated 3.0/18 on the PLAN/ACT to apply), Catalyst Maria had TWELEVE scholars accepted into the program (only 100 were selected city-wide!)!  This is as close as it gets to being guaranteed a full-ride scholarship- AMAZING work scholars (pictured below)!
