If you have any questions, please contact the Main Office at Catalyst Circle Rock (773-945-5025) or Catalyst Maria (773-993-1770). Thank you for ensuring that your scholars are present at school Friday (and every day!)!
Catalyst Maria hosted members of Northrop Grumman today, including Catalyst Board member Steven D’Souza, as part of the company’s DiscoverE program! During their visit Steven and co-worker Marc Gaddis spoke with the school’s middle school Project Lead the Way classes to share their engineering experiences and involve students in hands-on, engineering-related classroom projects and activities. We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and support of Northrop Grumman and Steven at both Catalyst campuses through DiscoverE and other programs!
Jeff Nelson, founder and CEO of OneGoal, visited Catalyst Maria to share with our scholars that they are the highest performing OneGoal cohort in the country!! OneGoal is currently located in 5 different states, and Catalyst Maria is honored to partner with this organization. CM scholars shared presentations about what has made them so successful in the program, and they are pictured with Mr. Nelson below (the image links to the OneGoal website where you can learn more). Great work by Ms. Fawaz and the CM team!
Scholars in Ms. Lewis's 8th Grade Math class at Catalyst Maria celebrated Pi day (3.14) yesterday! The class had a contest of who could memorize the most digits of Pi, and the winner correctly recited the first 31 digits! Scholars were then invited to bring in pies for a celebration- check out the picture of the celebration below!
Under the leadership of Ms. Dore, Ms. Ramirez, Ms. Bies, Ms. Fawaz , Mr. Dunlap, the Senior Leadership Class, an National Honors/Junior National Honors Society at Catalyst Maria, the school raised approximately 400 cases of water for Flint, Michigan! The water drive concluded today and was an awesome embodiment of the leadership and Catalyst mission we work to develop at our schools! Pictured below is Ms. Young alongside the abundant cases!
