1. Welcome

Thank you for visiting www.catalystschools.org ("Site"), which is owned bythe Catalyst Schools ("Catalyst").  This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding collection, use, and disclosure of information that you provide via this Site.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected in other forums, such as via offline means or via other websites to which this Site links or refers (including the website of Network for Good, a third party that processes online donations for Catalyst and other nonprofit organizations).

2. Your Consent

Read this entire Privacy Policy before using or submitting information to this Site.  By using this Site, you consent to the information practices described in this Privacy Policy.  Whenever you submit information via this Site, you also consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of that information in accordance with this Policy.

3. Intended Audience

This Site is a general audience site intended for use only by residents of the United States.  We will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 via the Site.

4. Information Collection

In general, you can browse the Site without telling us who you are or disclosing other personally identifiable information about yourself.  As you use this Site, certain anonymous information can be "passively" collected using navigational data collection (log files, server logs, clickstream).  Your Internet browser automatically transmits this information, such as the URL of the website you just visited, the date and time of your visit, the pages you visit and the files you download, and the Internet Protocol (IP) address and browser version that your computer is currently using.  

Some areas of this Site may ask you to actively submit personally identifiable information in connection with e-mail newsletter subscriptions, information requests, and so on.  Such information may include the following, depending on your activities: name, address, e-mail address, and phone number.

 

Note:  Catalyst uses the services of a third party, Network for Good, to enable supporters to make donations online for the benefit of Catalyst.  When you click on a donation-related (DonateNow) link on the Site, you will leave the Site to go to the Network for Good website.  Any personally identifiable information you submit through the Network for Good website (including your name, contact information, billing information, instructions regarding your gift, mailing-list opt-in, or your relationship with Catalyst) is collected directly by Network for Good, which will use it to process and document your transaction.  Such information is subject to Network for Good's website privacy policy, which you can access from the page where you complete the donation form.  Catalyst does not control Network for Good's privacy policy or its information practices.   Network for Good will provide Catalyst with certain information it collects via its website (including your name, contact information, instructions regarding your gift, mailing list opt-in, and your relationship with Catalyst), unless you choose to make your donation anonymously (in which case Catalyst would only receive non-personally identifiable information); Catalyst will add this information to its records, and use it to acknowledge your donations and provide you with information that you have requested.  Catalyst does not receive your billing (credit card) information or any passwords you use to access Network for Good's website.

5. Use and Disclosure of Information

We may use information collected from you on this Site for a variety of purposes, including to improve the content of our Site, to communicate information to you (if you have requested it), for our marketing and research purposes, and as specified in this Privacy Policy and at the point of information collection.

We may disclose personally identifiable information you provide via this Site to our affiliated entities and to contractors that we use to support our business (e.g. delivery services, financial institutions, fulfillment services, technical support) who have agreed to treat the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and use it for the same purposes.  We may also share personally identifiable information collected via this Site to respond to law enforcement requests, if required to do so by law, regulation, or court order, or in connection with the sale, assignment, or other transfer of the business of this Site.  We may make full use of all information acquired through this Site that is not in personally identifiable form.
