Zaeria is a remarkable and intelligent young lady.  She has matured from an adorable fifth grader to an outstanding seventh grader.  This school year, Zaeria has overcome many challenges since the tragic passing of her father.  During this academic year, she improved  two grade levels in both reading and math.  She has met and exceeded standards this entire year.  This young woman exemplifies the character trait, Trustworthiness, because she is reliable and truthful at all times.  She is a leader among her peers and an encouragement to all.

Even dress down days are work days for Chakiera who has always displayed great levels of academic excellence, and is indeed an attribute not only to her teacher, but to her peers, and the overall learning environment of the school.  Chakiera has impressive parental support that provides great encouragement for her to continue to excel in all areas.  She is a hard worker and has dedicated herself to become the best she can be.  Teachers believe Chakiera is a wonderful example of the six character traits that Catalyst emphasizes and integrates in all programming (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship).  This young woman is well on her way to becoming a college graduate and a powerful change agent in the community.  Congratulations Chakiera as you prepare to graduate.
