Catalyst recently received news that the City of Chicago will provide the Kehrein Center for the Arts at Catalyst Circle Rock a $1,000,000 grant through the Neighborhood Opportunity Fund! The campaign for the Kehrein Center for the Arts has now raised over $3 million towards the $4 million goal to bring this dream to life.  The news was recently featured in an article in the Austin Weekly News, linked here. We are very grateful for the City of Chicago's support and for all of the champions of Catalyst who are making dreams into reality in our school communities!

Catalyst Maria High School is celebrating Homecoming 2018 this week!  CMHS scholars and staff have celebrated Homecoming Week with decorated hallways, themed dress down days, spirit activities, and a pep rally!  The football team will play their Homecoming game against Fenger High School at 3:00 on Saturday, 9/22/18 at Stagg Stadium (1035 W 74th St.) and the Homecoming dance, “Let’s Glow Crazy,” will follow on Saturday night!  A special shout-out to Ms. Dore, Mr. White, and the entire CMHS team for making this week so special for scholars!

Both Catalyst campuses were honored to host 17 employees of MB Financial this week.  MB employees tutored students and helped with service projects at both schools. MB and its team have been an incredible partner to Catalyst in lifting up our scholars, families, and communities- many thanks for their partnership and support!

On Wednesday, 300 men welcomed the 520 scholars of Catalyst Circle Rock for the school's fourth annual Men Take Your Child to School Day.  This event inspired all in attendance, and was featured on ABC News (linked here).  Thank you to the men of the Catalyst Circle Rock for making this event such an incredible success!
