The Catalyst Board of Directors' Finance Committee will hold a meeting to review the proposals for Catalyst Maria window projects on January 17, 2019 at 9:00 AM. The Catalyst lotteries are open to the public and will be monitored by an independent auditor. The deadline for inclusion in the Catalyst Circle Rock and Catalyst Maria 2019-2020 lotteries is March 18, 2019.

Catalyst Schools will be closed to scholars and staff for Winter Break from December 24, 2018- January 4, 2019.

Scholars will begin Winter Break on Friday December 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM.

Scholars will return TUESDAY January 8, 2019.

Staff will return Monday January 7, 2019 for Professional Development.

On December 7, 2018, Catalyst Maria held their annual Science Fair, with the winners in the middle-school and high school moving on to the CPS Regional STEM exhibitions! Congratulations to middle school first place winner Jesus C. and high school winner Christopher A. (winner for the second consecutive year!)!

Four Catalyst Maria High School Seniors-Christopher A., DuJuan H., Felipe L., and Joanna M. (pictured below)- achieved the Illinois State Scholar Award! The State Scholar Program identifies graduating high school seniors who possess superior academic potential. Students from nearly every high school in Illinois compete in the program, and State Scholars can be found on the campuses of nearly 200 public and private institutions of higher education in Illinois. The combination of exemplary college entrance examination scores and record high school achievement indicate an especially high potential for success in college. To be honored as a State Scholar in Illinois is an outstanding accomplishment that will be a highlight of the recipient’s academic record- we are so proud of Christopher,  DuJuan, Felipe, and Joanna!
