Last week, Catalyst Maria staff leaders and 45 scholars from National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, and senior leaders traveled to Flint, Michigan to donate 600 cases of water for the residents of Flint! The group, pictured below were also able to stop in East Lansing to visit Michigan State University. Great work by the scholars and staff leaders of this incredible service project!

Catalyst Maria hosted members of Northrop Grumman today, including Catalyst Board member Steven D’Souza, as part of the company’s DiscoverE program! During their visit Steven and co-worker Marc Gaddis spoke with the school’s middle school Project Lead the Way classes to share their engineering experiences and involve students in hands-on, engineering-related classroom projects and activities. We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and support of Northrop Grumman and Steven at both Catalyst campuses through DiscoverE and other programs!
Catalyst Circle Rock scholars and staff created an incredible experience for their school community this week through their Blacks in Wax living history museum! This museum allowed attendees to travel through important events in African-American history, and was the culmination of months of preparation by numerous CCR staff members and scholars. Pictured below are scholar participants with Principal Ms. Jamison-Dunn- incredible work by all involved!
