This week Catalyst Maria had an official ribbon cutting with Big Brothers-Big Sisters and Guggenheim on a new partnership between the three organizations! In attendance was the CEO of BBBS, members of the Guggenheim team, Catalyst staff and scholars, and numerous Bigs mentors and their scholars Littles! This has been a great venture and we look forward to continuing this partnership!

 

Under the leadership and supervision of Mr. Tomasso, Catalyst Circle Rock 7th and 8th Grade scholars have produced their own scholar developed newspaper! Seven scholars team to create The Cougar Times, with the first issue published this week! Pictured below are Mr. Tomasso and Jai'nequa B., whose article "Boycott or Not? Come support the Catalyst Maria Wolves Basketball team this Wednesday (2/24/16) in the State Regionals! The game is at 7:00 PM vs Harper High School at Harper (6520 S Wood St, Chicago, IL 60636) GO WOLVES!!!

The Catalyst Board of Directors' will have their scheduled February 22, 2016 meeting at Catalyst Cirlce Rock Charter School, located at 5608 W. Washington Blvd. The meeting will be from 3:00-5:30 PM.
