On May 31, Catalyst Maria High School held their 9^th annual Post-Secondary Signing Day for the Class of 2022 seniors! College seminar teachers celebrated each scholar individually and shared their final post-secondary decision. The Class of 2022 has 100% college acceptance, has earned $16.2+ million in scholarships and have 740+ college acceptances!   

Illinois State Senator Mattie Hunter and Catalyst Board of Directors Chair Mr. Larry Williams (pictured below with scholars) attended the ceremony. State Senator Hunter shared inspiring words about her life journey and encouraged scholars to do anything in life that they set their minds to. We appreciate the support and encouragement of State Senator Hunter and Board Chair Williams!  

Orbert Davis and the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic will present arranged versions of the Miles Davis' classic recordings on Sunday June 12^th at 4:30 pm.  During the event there will be a community conversation with Reesheda Graham Washington and Vanessa Stokes, Interim Executive Director of the Kehrein Center for the Arts. Under the leadership of Catalyst Circle Rock’s Director of Specialized Services Mr. Tomasso, a memorial garden in Troy Morris’s honor will be installed at Catalyst Circle Rock over the next several months. As part of this garden, customized memorial bricks can be purchased to support a scholarship in his name. Bricks can be purchased for $100, and all funds will go to support scholarships for graduating 8th graders at Catalyst Circle Rock (minus the cost of the bricks). Orders received by July 7th will be engraved in time for the initial installation of the bricks ahead of the unveiling of the memorial garden in October 2022.
